Being home for a new year celebration is something which I am doing after 7 long years.
Last time it happened when I was in 9th/10th . The celebration was simple but great. All I had to celebrate was a bottle of coke (which was, by the way, a very great thing for me at that point of time), a packet of Chitos and FM Radio. I was alone in the hall, listening to songs, with Coke and chips. All I remember is I was damn happy and satisfied at that moment.
I celebrated so many 31st after that. New year celebrations having friends, cake, fun, masti, time pass. But I distinctly remember only that 9th standard 31st. As such it was way too simple. It was even dull from a point of view. Still I wanna have that happiness again.
Its true when elders say, Happiness lies in simplicity.
